There is no subway out this way, so a car sitting with a missing window is a genuine problem. The van can come to the driveway instead, at the same $200 to $500 most door, quarter, vent, back and sunroof glass costs in the shop. If you drive in, it is twenty to twenty-five minutes along the Cross Bronx and the Bruckner.

Tempered glass breaks into thousands of cubes, and they end up everywhere the vacuum has to go looking: inside the door skin, packed into the window channel, under the seat rails, worked into the carpet, sitting in the vents. Cubes left behind rattle over every bump and can eventually seize a regulator. That is why the panel comes off, the door cavity is emptied, the channel is run clear, the regulator is checked while it is exposed, and the interior gets vacuumed properly before any new glass is fitted and the trim goes back on sound clips.
The part itself has to be right, not merely close. Door panes differ by tint density and by laminated or tempered construction, quarter windows are often bonded into the body rather than sliding, and rear glass carries the printed defroster grid and sometimes the antenna. Have the year, make and model ready when you call, and we will pin down the exact piece and whether it is sitting on the shelf. Where a car is standing open after an overnight break, that jumps the queue whatever else is booked. A cabin open to the weather on this side of the borough fills with water quickly.
“They did a great job. I went to get my passenger door window fixed. They were very nice and had a great deal . Same day service. I waited a while but it could be because it was on a Sunday and didn’t have all their staff.”

Out here the glass tends to break by accident rather than by intent, which is what happens in a neighborhood of driveways, private garages and quiet residential pockets like Silver Beach, Edgewater Park and Locust Point. Detached garages with narrow approaches take their share of mirrors and rear quarter panes. Wind coming off the water catches an open door on an exposed driveway and swings it into a fence or a wall. Boats, ladders and lumber going in and out of a pickup bed account for a fair number of back windows. None of it puts a car at risk overnight, so you can book a time that suits you instead of scrambling to get it sealed before dark. Pick a morning that works and we will bring the pane to the house.
Same service, same price, other Bronx neighborhoods:
Yes, and driveways out here are among the easiest places we work. What it takes is space to swing the door wide with somebody standing beside it, and a dry day for anything bonded. Give us the year, make and model at booking so the van arrives with the correct pane on board rather than discovering the wrong one halfway through the morning.
Bigger than a door window, mostly because of the cleanup and the electrical connections. The defroster grid and often the antenna are printed into the pane and have to be reconnected and tested, and cubes travel through the trunk, under the rear seat and into the parcel shelf. It still sits in the same $200 to $500 range for most vehicles.
Sliders and larger rear panes are regular work and most fall inside the usual range, though unusual pieces vary. Bring the year, make and model and we will price the actual part rather than a category. If something has to come in from the warehouse we will tell you at that point instead of after the vehicle is already apart.
Tell us the vehicle and the glass that's damaged — you'll see your price instantly, and we'll hold it for you.
